Lerato Motseki is a Global Public Health Practitioner, Junior Researcher, and STEM Advocate dedicated to fostering scientific literacy and mentorship.

Designation

As the Chair of the Shadow A Scientist – Lesotho Chapter, she is passionate about creating opportunities for young learners to engage with scientists, explore STEM careers, and develop hands-on scientific skills.With a background in medical laboratory science, public health, and research, Lerato has contributed significantly to laboratory diagnostics, epidemiology, and health information management. Her work focuses on mentorship, capacity building, and inspiring young minds—particularly girls and underrepresented youth—to pursue careers in science and innovation.

Rethabile Selikane

Rethabile Selikane serves as the Student Engagement Officer at SAS Lesotho Chapter. She holds a diploma in Medical Laboratory Science and graduated last year. Currently, she works as a Medical Laboratory Technician, applying her skills in diagnostic sciences. With a strong passion for continuous learning, she plans to further her studies in histocytochemistry to expand her expertise. In addition to her scientific pursuits, she is an aspiring public speaker, dedicated to inspiring and engaging with diverse audiences.

She is responsible for organizing events, facilitating communication between students and the chapter leadership, and promoting engagement initiatives that enhance student experiences within the organization.

Nthabiseng Ramakau

Nthabiseng Ramakau is a dynamic social specialist from Lesotho, renowned for her extensive experience in the mining and construction sectors. She currently serves as the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Officer at Liqhobong Mining Development Company, where she focuses on driving impactful community initiatives and promoting sustainable practices.

The Partnership Officer at SAS Lesotho Chapter is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders, sponsors, and external organizations to support the chapter’s growth and initiatives.

Litlhare Shale

Litlhare Shale is a Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) accredited by ACCA with a strong background in administration, project coordination, and virtual assistance.

As the Administrative Secretary at (SAS) Lesotho Chapter, she plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of organizational operations, supporting strategic initiatives, and facilitating seamless communication within the team.

Maphoka Mohlabi is a dedicated and driven Medical Laboratory Technologist with a profound passion for advancing quality standards in healthcare. A proud graduate with a National Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science, Maphoka graduated as the top-performing student, showcasing not only academic excellence but a deep commitment to the medical field.
Throughout her career, Maphoka has excelled in the dynamic and critical healthcare sector, where she serves as a Medical Laboratory Technologist. Her keen eye for detail and dedication to ensuring precise diagnostic results have made her an invaluable member of any healthcare team she’s been a part of.

The communication and media officer develops and executes marketing strategies to enhance the organization's visibility and brand identity. Leading a team, they create campaigns across various platforms to promote initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging and analyzing market trends.
